Abstract: Bicomponent technology was used in our study, which was primarily aimed to be used in the clothing industry. Thanks to bicomponent technology, two raw materials with different physical and/or chemical properties are combined to form a single fiber structure. PTT and COPET were used as raw materials in our study.  Thanks to PTT polymer, the fabric to be produced has a bio-sourced structure and thus a sustainable and environmentally friendly product is obtained. A special nozzle with a C-section structure was used in yarn production. Thanks to the C-section nozzle used in yarn production and the removal of COPET in the structure of the yarn, the fabric has a lighter, bulkier and softer structure. It is thought that it will also have thermal comfort, air permeability and absorbent properties due to its hollow structure. The presence of these features will be tested in fabric studies carried out after yarn production. Within the scope of the studies, a yarn and fabric of this yarn will be developed, using PTT raw material that contributes to sustainability, COPET used in the structure of the yarn, and a spinneret with a special cross-section, giving it soft, voluminous and lightweight properties.
